Dates: Sunday, June 16 and 23, 2013
Location: Shore Drive Boat Ramp, corner of Gentian Road and Shore Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32086
Tucked away in St. Augustine Shores is an excellent plein air painting spot that sits along the north bank of Moultrie Creek, Shore Drive Boat Ramp. More than just boat ramp, this location features a shady paved pathway and wooden boardwalk, both of which offer water views from high on a hill. The long stretch of boardwalk leads to steps that will take you down to the sandy shore. If you are able to join us, we think you’ll enjoy the variety of attractive scenes this location has to offer.
To get there, travel south on US-1 and turn left onto Shore Drive. Please note that Shore Drive intersects with US-1 at two different locations. Do NOT turn onto Shore Drive at the northmost intersection near Flagler Hospital, but instead turn left onto Shore Drive at the second intersection near the High Chapparel Complex, Longstreet Auto and the Citgo Station. After turning onto Shore Drive, stay to the right. Continue on Shore Drive about 1.2 miles. After the road bends, the Shore Drive Boat Ramp entrance will be on your right.
