Jean’s drawing of Castle Warden after Van Gogh
Jean’s drawing of Castle Warden after Van Gogh and before next month’s meeting.
Date: Sunday, January 11, 2015
Location: Eddie Vickers Park, 399 S. Riberia Street, St. Augustine, FL
Local artists of all skill levels are invited to join the Anonymous Society of Artists on Sunday morning for our next plein air drawing and painting session at Eddie Vickers Park. A number of interesting subjects are in close proximity to the park including the Riberia Street boat yards and the Lincolnville Community Garden. We’ll meet up under the covered picnic area beside the main parking lot at 8am to choose our drawing and painting locations. Normally we will paint until 11am, but if you stay a little longer you can also stop by the Lincolnville Farmers Market which runs every Sunday from noon to 5pm.
To get to the Eddie Vickers Park parking area, take King Street in Downtown St. Augustine and then turn onto Riberia Street. Follow Riberia just about 1 mile. After you pass the Willie Galimore Center, turn left into the parking lot entrance and continue park near the covered picnic area.
The weather forecast for tomorrow shows cloudy skies with a slight chance of rain, so please use your discretion.
